Eagles News · Lady Eagle Basketball dominates Lake Belton

The Lady Eagle Basketball team stepped up their offensive game with a dominating finish 72-29 against Lake Belton on Friday night.  This team has always been known for their fierce defense but when you combine an outstanding offensive night it makes for an exciting game.  The Lady Eagles were led by Senior Lorena Perez who had 20pts and pulled down 12 rebounds.  Senior, Reese Preston, was hot behind the 3pt line going 4-7 and adding 14pts along with Amanda Cantu with 11pts and Katie Law with 10pts.  Megan Manibusan and Aubrey Heffner pitched in 8pts and 4pts respectively.

The Lady Eagles improved their District record to 2-0.  They will take on the Burnet Lady Bulldogs this coming Tuesday at home with game times at 5:00, 6:15 and 7:30.


The JV Lady Eagles improved their District record to 2-0 by beating Lake Belton 41-34.  Harley Drouillard had an amazing night with 21pts.  Marissa Lancaster added 9pts and Elly Wade with 8pts.  The Lady Eagles were up 21-12 at the half, but Lake Belton came back strong during the 3rd quarter and brought it within 5pts.  The Lady Eagle’s stepped up their defense in the fourth quarter to hold the lead.
