Eagles News · Salado vs Rudder

The Freshmen fell to 5A Bryan Rudder Thursday at Eagle Gym 53-45. The young Eagles played a good first half in which they led 18-17 at the break. A run in the 3rd quarter by Rudder appeared to be too much for the Eagles to overcome. Leading scorers for the freshmen were AJ Fach 14, Camrin Rogers 10, Tate Franks 9, Zane Roche 5.

The JV fell to a small but scrappy Rudder team 57-41. The JV played hard the entire game but could not overcome the quickness of the Rangers. Leading scorers for the Eagles were Josh Gilpin 14, Cayden Stump 9, Nolan Miller 6.

The Varsity Eagles played a all around solid basketball game. The Eagles would win the game 54-36. The defense for the Eagles appeared too much for Rudder who would trail Salado 27-14 at the half. Offensively the Eagles were led by Peyton Miller who had 10 of his 15 points in the 2nd half. He was joined in double figures by Junior Josh Goings with 13. Other scorers were Luke Law 8, Noah Self/ Owen Pitcock 6.
