Philen led the charge for Salado’s offense, scoring 14 points, with five points during the fourth period. She also contributed five rebounds and one steal.
Lexie Lima notched two three-pointers and scored eight points total. Also contributing for Salado were Ashlen LaCanne (7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), Amanda Cantu (4 points, 1 rebound), Kate Kyburz (3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals), Corban Mescher (2 points, 1 rebound), and Jasey Goings (2 points, 1 rebound). Katelyn Seymour was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up five rebounds, one steal and one block.
Salado finished the game with 23 rebounds (8 offensive / 15 defensive), one block and six steals.
JV girls lost a hard one at Burnet 30-34. Lorena Perez was leading scorer with 13 and Reese Preston followed close behind with 10 points. Emily Stuckly had 5 and Priscilla torczynski had 2.
Freshman girls blew out Burnet with a score of 53-29. Washington led the way for the Eagles with 18, followed by Del Rio with 12. Megan Manibusan and Katie Law had 10 points and Morgan Schaub had 2.
